My pride and Joy

Well it finally happened yesterday. My neoved car was sold at 1930 last night and driven away by its new owner.
Despite me not being able to use it since March due to my foot problems, it jump started at the first turn of the key in the ignition and off it went.
Am sad at such a fab car having to go cos I can no longer drive it, but the sale gives me a start for saving towards my dream car of an Automatic Freelander. I am determined to buy one out right so as not to have it on finance ad know that it is going to be some time before I do but I can wait.

Crafting

Well have decided to take a back seat in my making of atc's and joining in on my crafting forums.
I have a large number of cards to make before the end of the year and these seem to be taking up a lot of my time.
I've entered the christmas challenge atc on the trimcrafts forum, but that's it at the mo, cards need to come first.
Am awaiting a new box of goodies to help with ideas.

I also have decided it is time I went back to work, although my foot still isn't as it should be, boredom has took over, my youngest starts school full time next week and I don't relish hours of emptiness so will go back to my carer's job as soon as, so less time for cards is envisaged. And even less for atc's, these will have to be done as and when inspiration returns for things so small.

School starts next week with four children needing to be up, dressed, fed and ready in a morning so a full time job at home also awaits.

SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!!!!

Well thats it, my kids have broken up for the summer hols.
So now 2 boys and 2 girls to keep amused for six weeks.

My crafting stuff is going to take a battering as the girls help themselves to bits and bobs for their own creations, whilst with the lads, it'll be games consoles and arguments about who's winning and whos playing what.

So I have my ear plugs at the ready, but its also got its good points, more time to spend with the kids and no getting up early for work.

more games just for fun

http://www.freeonlinegames.com also provides free online games just for fun .

Either that or have your own gaming at home, the best console ever I have to say is the Nintendo Wii, I have never had so much fun with a games console, its great for all the family and talk about laugh, when its on the neighbours must wonder whats happening as we can't stop. The best investment we've made to keep the family entertained.

FOOT OPERATION HAS FINALLY TAKEN PLACE

Well, the first operation on my foot finally took place last friday and by each evening I end up with a football at the end of my leg.
Not being able to move far have managed to make some BRAKS for various up-coming birthdays and some atc's for swap to add to some craft forums and are available to view
on my gallery blog.

Hopefully I can get back to chatting and uploading creations to my pc and have the time to make a wedding day exploding box commissioned for early September.

THE WELSH MOUNTAINS AWAIT

Just a few more days to go before we set foot in the
welsh mountains for a week.
So looking forward to camping again as not
been for a couple of years. Have a nice new tent to
try out with all the mod cons you can possibly think
of.
Car drives will have to do this year tho as can't walk very
far nowadays but the country air will do us the power of good.

New ATC's

Have been added to my gallery blog,
please feel free to brouse. Used two new techniques
thanks to fivestar for giving me the opportunity
to try out embossing which I managed to keep the powder in place long enough to heat it
eventually and despite the smell, I thoroughly enjoyed and shall
be doing more often.
Also rub-ons. Tried once in the past but hated and found it too
frustrating, however received some new rub ons a couple of
weeks ago and they were so much better and so much easier
it was a lot more fun.

EVENING IN SCARBOROUGH

A favourite part of the world of mine

is scarborough. We regularly go camping there

and wonder around the coastline and the moors.

The kids love scarborough for its famous

ice-cream shop and for the boat trips, there

are so many to choose from.

These are an evening at scarborough just

before the donkeys are off for the night.

CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

I first read this little ditty when I was at school, and it still sits with me in a far flung corner of my brain and is apt to the topsy turvy world we live in. It goes as follows:

Twas in the month of Liverpool
In the city of July
The rain was shining hazily
The Streets were very dry
The flowers were singing cherrfully
The Birds were in full bloom
I went down the cellar
To sweep the upstairs room!

My latest creations using some of my left overs

These are a few extra's for RAK's etc. finally in front of myself on Docrafts and have caught up so as not to owe anything .

Last Night's Bidding Frenzy

I had most of my Nintendo DS games for sale on ebay and last night they are ended and all sold and today I am able to spend on crafting items all over again.
I have already bought two more craft cd's and have a few more on watching.

The joy of watching your items sell so you can spend on things needed most.

I'VE BEEN TAGGED BY CAROL

So now I need to tell you 7 things about myself:
1) I moved from Nottingham to Tamworth and a much slower pace of life
2) I Have 2 boys and 2 girls and 2 step-sons who are always on the go.
3) I am into crafting in a big way, started out making cards, then keepsakes and now more importantly ATC's.
4) I love family camping holidays around Wales and Scarborough.
5) I have an old mongrel dog called Jasper, a lionhead rabbit called Rockette and a cat (when she deigns to come and see us) called Jerry.
6) Living near a canal we spend much time walking along it, watching the boats and checking out the wildlife as my youngest two children are into birds in a big way, it takes a long time cos I walk slower than the kids do.
7) I love all sorts of music, but mainly 80's, Direstraits, Pink Floyd, Ramstein and Bruce Springsteen, of which my MP4 is full of and goes everywhere with me.

Addicted to Ebay

My second passion is selling and buying on ebay

tonight I sold various games I was bored with for my Nintendo Ds and in 20 mins sold them for £48.50, just think of all the crafting items I can now buy - can't wait to starting spending my hard earned cash of redundant ds games.
Every little helps.

Favourite websites

These are my favourite internet sites that I spend my time on

Do-crafts
Ebay - buying and selling
Circle of crafters for iris folding

I also do most of my shopping on line nowadays, you can't beat someone else picking packing and delivering it to your door leaving you just to put it all away!

My Other Crafting Greats!!!

These I make for requests, I have a folder of designs and you can choose which keepsake for any occasion.
Exploding boxes are another passion of mine and many can be found in my Gallery on the Do-craft website under the forum name of Patereke.

Atc's my first love in crafting

A sample of a few recent ATC's made, the two together was for someone very into
Johnny Depp and his desert island, the other for swapping on Do-crafts a favourite haunt
during the day.
